Hybrid system
Hybrid engines achieve propulsion through the combustion of plastic fuel and liquid oxygen. Since no explosives are used, the risk of fire or accidental explosion is extremely low, making the engines safe. The engines are also highly potent when operational, while the cost of safety management is reduced.

Common hybrid engines use plastics as fuel, which are less flammable than liquid hydrogen or other fuels. As a result, they are extremely safe, but on the other hand, their inefficient combustion means they may not produce enough thrust.

Professor Harunori Nagata of Hokkaido University has been working for a long time to solve this problem. By devising a completely new fuel structure that takes advantage of hydrodynamic properties, he has perfected a technology that improves combustion and maintains the safety of plastic fuel, while also increasing combustion efficiency.

By developing this technology, we have succeeded in increasing thrust to reach a commercial scale.
